A family violence demand modelling tool has been finalised (as outlined in Recommendation 223). Further work is underway to model and forecast demand associated with The Orange Door.
There has also been significant additional investment in recent budgets to establish Hubs and ensure support is available for people referred by the Hubs. This includes:
- the 2017/18 Budget provided $448 million over 4 years to establish Support and Safety Hubs
- the 2017/18 Budget provided an additional $397.4 million over 4 years for specialist family violence services and an additional $29.2 million for family services
- the 2018/19 Budget provided a further $78.9 million over 4 years for specialist family violence services and an additional $92.0 million over two years for family services

Slot gameThe 5 locations of The Orange Door have been established in 2018, in North Eastern Melbourne, Mallee, Barwon, Bayside Peninsula, and Inner Gippsland. Central Highlands, Goulburn, and Loddon have been announced as locations for the next three Orange Door sites, and these are expected to commence operation in the later half of 2020.
